I have always had a passion for managing projects and, within that, planning events. Organizing a timeline, contacting vendors, managing a budget - these are just some of the things I love to do.
From events at university, to work and private events, and now managing a project related to a space mission, see my work below!
Logistics & Compliance Management
S.O.B.E.R is a space mission set to take place in October 2025 that will send a balloon up to capture images of how objects in space affect the dark skies.
My role is to manage the legal and compliance work - export licenses, NDAs, agreements, and other documentation.
Employee Appreciation Events
During my work as an Administrative Assistant in the HR department of Punjabi Community Health Services, I planned two employee appreciation events.
The first was an in-person in 2019 with an old-school vibe, where we had a “Guess Who” game with employees’ childhood photos, and a photo booth with retro props.
The second event was online in 2020, with a social media theme and lots of fun virtual games!
Turban Up!
This is something close to my heart, something I am really proud of! While I was a student at the University of Guelph, I had the pleasure of organizing annual Turban Up events to spread awareness about Sikhism. From acquiring resources to contacting media and securing funding, this project taught me a lot over the years!
In addition to the annual events, I organized weekly meetings, and recruited new members to lead these meetings on various topics.
I also spearheaded the organization of an Art as Therapy workshop for organization members at our sleepover the night before the annual event - a wonderful way to connect.
Private Events
Over the years, I have organized several private events - from bridal showers to baby showers, and birthday parties, there’s so much to celebrate!
